Tough Mr. Ethan

I wanted to post some pictures of Ethan wearing his sling.  For those of you who don't know, Ethan has a buckle fracture on his humerus bone under his shoulder.  He was standing on the kitchen foot stool and was leaning up against the cabinets, when he push it out under himself and landed on the upside down stool on his back. He was crying of course, but it just seemed to be from being scared because the cry didn't last long.  After a couple of days of him favoring it I decided to take him to the doctor to make sure it was broken.  Ethan was eating up all the attention from the nurses, doctors, and x-ray technician ladies.  He sure does know how to charm them.  Everyone was surprised that the x-ray showed a buckle fracture because of Ethan's sweet behavior and lack of pain.  Now he is wearing a sling for a total of 3 weeks to make sure it heals right. And in case you were wondering, no the falling has not made him scared of climbing. :)

Christmas

Christmas this year was busy and eventful.  For the first time in three years we went back to Ohio to visit family and it was the first time in six years that I celebrated Christmas with my family. I loved seeing all the family members that I haven't seen in three years.  My Grandparents got to spend sometime with just my boys and that was great! Tucker found GreatGrandpa's pocket watch and said, "I found the conductor's watch!"  He was so excited to see it and Grandpa was sweet and showed him how it worked. We also celebrated my Mom's 50th and Izzie's 2nd Birthday.
The boys did great on the trip and I am very proud of them.

We also went to South Carolina to visit Aaron's family and celebrate Christmas and New Years with them. We had a great time and LOVED their new house.  It was so great to see them, but we missed seeing Megan and Dirk.  We didn't get many pictures there because our camera battery died.
