Baby Update

So do you remember that I said I would post a picture of the baby at 7 months in the womb? Well, life flew by in a flash and I kind of forgot about it.  I took this picture three days into my 8th month of pregnancy.  It's close enough right? It just means it is a very FULL 7 months. :)

Well I am trying to be better at the pictures and today I had Aaron take a couple.  I am now in my last week of my 8th month, 35 weeks.  I really freaked out Aaron today when I mentioned that we only have 5 more weeks until this baby is "full term".  Both of our older boys came 1 1/2 weeks early, so if this baby follows his older brothers this baby could be here in 3 1/2 weeks.  Aaron pointed out that in only 2 weeks it is the "safe" zone for him to come, 37 weeks.  This pregnancy has flown by for both of us.  Me and baby at 8 months, 35 weeks-

Last week we had a "growth ultrasound" of our little baby boy.  We are happy to report that everything looks great and right on schedule; however, lets hope their prediction that he will be about 8lbs is incorrect.  Jumping from a 6lb 9oz baby to an 8 pounder will not be much fun.  Their prediction is 8lbs +/- 12oz.  I don't know about you, but that is a big +/- margin to me.  Lets hope it is -12oz. :)  The ultrasound was really fun because he is so developed now.  We got to watch him suck and he licked his knee.  It was really funny.  Here is a picture of his face and his foot from the ultrasound.
Do you see his cute little turned up nose and his full lips?  I think he is going to look like Aaron, just like my other boys.

Happy Happy Birthday Tucker!

Tucker is our holiday/celebration kid through and through.  He is the the thing that makes holidays and celebrations magical.  He gets so excited and thrilled to celebrate anything.  Seriously, when he finds out it is an extended family member's birthday, he always wants to make them a cake.  He is just so wonderful that way.  This year our big man turned 6!!!!! Can you believe it?! I know I can't.  When did my little toddler Tucker turn to 6!?!  I must have missed something I guess.  This year he really wanted a party with friends.  But because his birthday is during the end of a trimester, money is just way to tight to spoil him thoroughly.  So we compromised and he got to invite one friend, Drew, to Bounce U, a place filled with blow-up bouncy buildings/slides of fun.  We then came home for cake, ice cream, and gifts.

This year I tried to make him a train cake, but once I started decorating (at 9:30pm) I realized I had no decorating bags...ugh! So I did the best I could, at least he was still thrilled when we saw his cake.  I was also not into decorating his cake as I have in the past.  I was just too tired and wanted it done.  I'm sure being pregnant had nothing to do with it. :)

As I said before, we were not able to thoroughly spoil Tucker, but we are so blessed to have loving family that did.  A big thank you to all family members who thought of our big guy on his birthday.  He really appreciated being in the spot light.

Papa's and Nana's Visit

My parents (papa and nana) came to Missouri to go camping and came to visit us a few times the week before the boys started school.  My boys were ecstatic to see them.  The boys had fun going on a ride on their kayaks up the Meramec River.

You can barely see Ethan, but he is there.

We also took Papa and Nana to a place that Ethan and Tucker absolutely LOVE, The Magic House.  It is a "children's museum".  My favorite part in it is the miniature village where the kids can make believe.

Don't they look thrilled to be there? :)  In their defense it is a chaotic place over run with children.

The stuff Ethan is digging in is shredded tire pieces.

We also celebrated the end of Tucker's baseball season with a team ice cream party.  Nana and papa didn't come to that, but it was the same week so I'm including it in this post.  Tucker was completely thrilled that his trophy had his name printed on the plate!!!
